Domitius
As the music picked up Domitius swung Sora around, bouncing into place as he danced beside her. He felt so wonderful and free, so happy that all the time he spent practicing his dancing was finally paying off. He wasn’t exactly graceful, but he wasn’t tripping over himself either! The snow leopard was following his every step easily, she was so clearly a natural, her movement flowing and her tail sweeping with a flourish at each move. Her blue eyes shining like two beautiful stars.
Those eyes. He glanced at the snow leopard and their eyes met, sending lightning jolting through him, setting his blood afire and making his head feel light. He really liked Sora… really liked her. She made him feel secure, and comfortable, and good about himself. And look at how much fun she was having with him! And how happy she always was to see him! Surely she liked him too. But did she… really like him too? Could she? …maybe? His next move was an impulse. The music slowed, or maybe it did. It did in his mind anyway. He leaned forward toward the snow leopard, feeling heat rise in his cheeks as he took probably the biggest risk of his entire life yet.
He kissed her.

Sora twirled and flipped on her hind paws, tail flowing out delicately behind her. The music was soft and gentle in the background, and the snow leopard giggled as Domi continued to spin her around, a beaming smile plastered on his face. He looked so happy, it was nice to see that. But in that moment, the female noticed a difference in the way the Lion was looking at her. Something in his gaze shifted...The gladiator slowed down her dance, paws still wrapped around his neck.
Sora opened her mouth to ask if there was something wrong, but was cut off as the lion suddenly leaned forwards to kiss her.
Shocked, the Snow leopard hung there for a moment, trying to comprehend what had just happened. Pulling away, she dropped to the ground, cheeks flushing. That wasn't supposed to happen! "Domi.....I..." she began, but broke off, unsure of what to say to her friend. She didn't realise that he had felt that way! She suddenly felt flustered, blood rushing in her ears, What was she going to say? She knew that anything she could say would break his heart. But something needed to be said.
"I'm sorry Domi...I don't think...." she broke off again, embarrassment and shock rippling in her voice.
Domitius
His moment of flying high in an instant turned into falling hard, as Sora pulled away abruptly with her eyes wide, full of confusion and embarrassment. He was dazed for a moment. "What...?" It was more said out of confusion than a legitimate question. He was... wrong about this. So very wrong.
When she spoke again, then it really hit Domi, and he saw her face and how embarrassed she was and he immediately felt as if his lungs stopped working, and even though it was deep into the night the sun was scorching his fur. He backed away from her, "I'm sorry-! I thought... I thought..." he backed into another dancing couple, flinching as they gave him a hiss and danced away.
Feeling sick, Domi looked back at Sora, stupid, stupid, I'm so STUpid! "I, uh... I gotta go." what that the lion turned and fled, successful bumping into two more cats in his clumsy haste to escape what was probably the most embarrassing moment in his life so far.

Sora watched as his face felt, and felt her heart twist in her chest. She hadn't expected the night to go in that direction and felt truly evil to react in such a way. But her response was completely instinctive...Sure, she really cared about Domitius, and certainly thought he was an attractive young male, but their relationship hadn't grown to that level. At least, not in Sora's mind.
She watched as the lion backed away from her, face creasing in embarrassment, before turning around and barging through the crows in a desperate escape. "Domi, wait!" Sora called after him, but her cries came to no avail. She was tempted to go after him, but couldn't bring herself to face him just yet...
A wave of sadness crept through her form....would their relationship ever be the same?
