:iconwildfire-tama: Alcatraz trotted into Aryn main den site, a thick slab of deer meat clamped between his jaws. He made his way toward where the Vicars worked. That was where he knew he would find the recovering former Blutwaldian, Bloom. Alcatraz padded up to her resting form and dropped the meat by her paws. ”Bloom, I brought you some food.” Alcatraz said to her, unsure whether she was asleep or not. Alcatraz tried to take a bit of food back for Bloom whenever he could to help her recover. He felt a responsibility to her now in a way, since the battle. It was he who had helped her stay alive, and he who had brought her back to Aryn with the help of Lawson. He figured he owed it to her to help her recover as well.

:iconselenethewerewolf: Sleep was near impossible. Nightmares had made sleep a mere dream. Nightmares of Rhaegan, her mother and siblings dying by his fangs plagued even in her waking moments. On her back, Bloom stared up at the ceiling of the den where she'd been recovering. Despite the herbs to dull the pain and help avoid infection she felt the burning pain. Hearing someone approach she rolled to her side. Alcatraz? Sighing softly, she forced a smile to her maw. She owed Alcatraz her life. She'd have died if it weren't for him.

It was strange to actually be given sustaining meat. Only a few weeks ago she'd been starving. "Thank you, Alcatraz." Pausing for a moment, she stared at the meat as if were something foreign. Sniffing at the meat she licked it then began to chew it and gulp it down.

:iconwildfire-tama: Alcatraz gave the slightest of nods as she thanked him and he watched her for a moment. ”It’s just deer.” He assured her as she finally decided to begin eating. ”Let me know if you want more and I can get it.” He said. After so long of treating Bloom a prisoner and giving her very little food, he often almost forgot to tell her that of course she could have more if she wanted. She was a member of Aryn now. From now until she recovered and maybe even longer if she wanted to stay. ”How are you feeling today?” the Warden asked. He was in a good mood lately, because he had asked Athena to become his mate and she had said yes. Memories of the beautiful night after the battle were still fresh in his mind, sweeter than the sweetest dream he had ever had. So while he usually would just drop the meat with a curt greeting and go, today he actually inquired about Bloom’s well being, opening up the potential for a casual conversation.

:iconselenethewerewolf: "I'd love...some more." She told him, shifting a bit uncomfortably as she tore into the meat and was finished almost all of the meat within less than a minute. Since she'd been taken back to Aryn, her was slowly regaining the strength she lost when she was a captive here. At least now with meals..she'd be getting better.

Noticing Alcatraz's soft and carefree face, she tilted her head knowingly to her newly promoted Alpha Male. "Wow, Alcatraz.. I.. I don't think I've ever seen your eyes light up like fireflies. Something good must've happened.." With a soft sigh, her face dropped and she stared out at the den as if she was waiting for her mom to return..

:iconwildfire-tama: Alcatraz nodded as she said she would like some more. He turned to go get it until she noted his good mood. He stopped and looked over his shoulder to give her a bit of a smile despite himself. The new Alpha male could not be more proud, or more in love, with his queen. His smile faded as he saw her stare longingly out the den. He turned back to face her and sat down. ”Are you alright?”

:iconselenethewerewolf: A bittersweet feeling wrenched inside her chest. Her parents were once so in love. Then, everything changed. Her father changed. He left them. Shaking her head she realized Alcatraz had turned back around and questioned her. Looking directly at the male, she frowned. "My mother.." her voice cracked and she looked away, staring at her paws. "I thought..she'd return.. What if--” her voice broke again and she held back a sob. After she'd been brought back to the Aryan den sight, she'd gotten whispers of a fight that had happened at one of the river banks. Blood was everywhere, they scented it was Winema and Rhaegan's blood.

What if..her mother was dead?!

:iconwildfire-tama: Alcatraz let out a tired sigh. He knew that Winema had been in deep trouble when the battle had come to an end. He had seen Rhaegan run for her, with every intent to kill. Just like he had tried to kill Bloom.

Bloom was basically in tears now and Alcatraz looked at her sympathetically. “Our Rangers have reported nothing about your mother since the battle. It is best not to get your hopes up… but if she was killed that day, her body would have been found. Yet it was not. We have every reason to believe that your mother escaped.” Alcatraz pointed out, although he had hoped the former Alpha would come back for her daughter. Surely, when Winema had seen him defend Bloom, she could assume that Aryn was the pack giving Bloom shelter. Why she had not come yet did raise some disturbing questions, and this world was a harsh one. As far as the Alpha was concerned, Bloom’s worse suspicion could easily be the truth.

:iconselenethewerewolf: Bloom looked away and pressed her face into her paws. Silent sobs racked her body. No. No. Her mother couldn't be dead! No, not after all that had happened. After some minutes went by, Bloom no longer felt hungry. In fact, she felt losing all the contents of her stomach. Somehow, she managed to keep it down.. Lying her head on her paws, she looked distantly out the den. Tears running freely down her cheeks.

When Rangers had reported no body was found, it gave her a slim hope. However, it was surrounded by denial. Her mother had been alone with Rhaegan. Bloom was at least saved by Alcatraz. "I..I want to be alone.." She whimpered..

:iconwildfire-tama: Alcatraz watched her begin to sob and his tail tip twitched as the only indication of his dismay. He would have liked to say something comforting, but his nature forced him to keep his mouth shut. He was not one to sugar coat things, and he knew that pointing out the possibility of Winema’s survival would do Bloom no favors. It was for the best that she accepts her mother’s demise. For that, if being completely objective, was most likely the case.

He dipped his head at her whimper. ”I will return with more meat and then leave you be.” Alcatraz said to the grieving daughter and stalked out from the den and toward the kill.

:iconselenethewerewolf: Bloom remained silent as Alcatraz stared at her. It made her "happy" that Alcatraz didn't try to feed her false hope. It was best to assume the worse and be proven wrong. For now, she'll try to move on and heal...
Quick Summary: Alcatraz of Aryn brings the recovering Bloom some deer to eat. He asks how she is doing and she reveals that she is very worried about her mother, Winema. Alcatraz has no real words of comfort to give the young female. He leaves her to grieve as he fetches her more food.

Ugh poor Bloom Dx I'm sorry, Alcatraz is the last person you should talk to if you need a sensitive ear. But he tries!
