Devoted - Confident - Social
Rainpelt is first and foremost a ShadowClan warrior. He has a deep faith in the warrior code, and in his beloved Clan. He is quite the patriot and would follow his leader and Clanmates to the ends of the earth.
Rainpelt is a team player. He likes his Clan as a whole and genuinely enjoys working with others and spending time with them. He is generally friendly with his Clanmates, and is even a quite patient and easygoing cat. (This contrasts quite a bit with the chilly attitude he takes when dealing with non ShadowClanners.)
Rainpelt is a confident cat. He isn’t afraid to speak his mind and let his voice be heard. He also is willing to take control of a situation if need be. After all, when his choices and opinions are guided by the warrior code, how can he go wrong?

Loyal and Obedient - Proud - Independent
Rainpelt is a very loyal ShadowClan warrior. He would do anything his Clan or leader demands of him, and he would do so dutifully and with minimal fuss, whatever that may be. He tends to adopt the general opinions of his Clan.
Rainpelt’s confidence leads him to be proud. He is always quite certain of himself, and has a difficult time admitting it if he is wrong. He will defend his ideas and shun new ones stubbornly (at least at first). His intuition also tends to give him “hunches” and “feelings” about things and he trusts in these. This isn’t always a bad thing as he is a fairly clever cat who looks carefully at the world, but when he puts more stock into these “hunches” and less stock into actual clear evidence or facts, it can be frustrating for others to deal with. He is much more inclined to believe things he has seen with his own eyes or learned from experience than take someone's word on something.
Rainpelt doesn’t mind conflict or standing against others for something if he feels he is justified by the warrior code and ShadowClan ideals/interests. He is not a cat who needs validation from anyone else. He also doesn’t mind being alone.[ negative ]: -
Stubborn yet Fickle, Distrustful, Presumptuous
As stated, Rainpelt doesn’t like being wrong and does not easily accept new ideas. This is especially true about ShadowClan and the warrior code. However on other topics (and the actual practical reality of what it means to be a loyal ShadowClanner and warrior) he can be a bit more fickle and his opinions/views may twist or alter over time (even if there may be resistance from him at first), especially to match with the general culture of his Clan. Though he still won’t easily admit that his opinion about something now is different than what it used to be!
Rainpelt’s loyalty to ShadowClan means he has quite a dislike for the other Clans. He is distrustful of them, and distrustful of new cats in ShadowClan too. He never gives anyone outside of proven ShadowClan cats the benefit of the doubt. While he is not at all a blood-lusting cat, he may be antagonistic with other Clans. Luckily, however, he is nice enough at Gatherings and he tries never to act unjustly (even if he is often biased).
Rainpelt may come to conclusions about things before he knows the whole story. He has a lot of hunches and can even be a bit of a gossip. He tends to believe rumors he hears if they fit his narrative, while scoffing at ones that don’t.

Rainkit had a normal childhood within ShadowClan. He was sheltered, loved, and cared for by his mother and was surrounded by others to play with. It was always easy for Rainkit to make friends, even as a kit he was confident and easygoing. He loved his friends and his Clan. With a naturally enthusiastic personality, Rainkit fervently adopted a love and loyalty for ShadowClan. It was his home, after all, and where he was from. He grew up with the ShadowClan ideals (ferocity, loyalty, cunning, pride), and those core values shaped him into who he became. He was taught about StarClan, and his mother had faith in them, so he also believed in them as a kit.

Rainpaw was only too excited when he was promoted. He enjoyed contributing to his Clan and going on hunts and patrols and learning how to give back. His mentor, Blackfur, was a stern but talented teacher. He was, however, particularly hostile toward other Clans. This cynicism and distrust rubbed off greatly on Rainpaw, and he grew up with the same dark view of the world outside ShadowClan. While Rainpaw is civil enough at Gatherings and other peaceful meetings, he has never had an interest in meeting apprentices or cats from other Clans. His Clan mates were the only ones he ever wanted to spend time with. Since he never got to know cats from other Clans, he grew up with his opinions untouched. His belief in StarClan is rather shaky at this point as well. While he doesn't exactly think his older Clanmates are lying, all he knows is that he's never seen them, or any sign of them, ever in his life. Sounds like a fairy tale to him.
[ warriorhood ] :
Rainpaw was promoted to Rainpelt after six moons of training. He now does his best to be a contributing member of ShadowClan. With tensions rising in the forest, Rainpelt works all the harder to provide for his Clan, and ultimately dreams of defending it with his own claws. The news of traitors also makes him even more cynical of all who are outsiders or who may indicate they are disloyal. But Rainpelt is still quite young and inexperienced, and perhaps a bit too proud. He is a warrior who still has a lot to learn. After the battle with the rogues, and the Clans’ victory, Rainpelt is as confident as ever in the power of ShadowClan. Though the loss of so many Clanmates still impacts him at times. He continues to be cynical of other Clans, despite the fact they all worked together to defeat the rogues. Ibisstar’s death was shocking and upsetting to Rainpelt, as he had always looked up to the leader and saw him as a cat to follow and trust. At the same time he is confident that Raccoonstar will be a worthy successor, and inwardly hopes that he will be less accepting of newcomers than Ibisstar was.
