Pokemon!!

Fri Jan 9, 2009, 6:29 PM
Lately, I've been obsessed with Pokemon. And I mean obsessed! But not all pokemon... just Kanto Region because that's BY FAR my favorite. I have nothing against the other regions, but my childhood is Kanto. I practically lived there back in the day... I miss that... when everyone was so obsessed with pokemon and everyone would have battles at recess and everyone would trade and tell stories and watch the show and... and...

And then Middle School... Pokemon turned uncool and no one in their right mind would be caught dead with a Pokemon card unless they wanted to be laughed at or made fun of for the next year. I secretly was still obsessed with it, though. Luckily, my older brother doesn't judge me for things like that and he didn't really care... in fact, he even played the gameboy games sometimes.

Then High School! Let me just say how happy I am to be in the Band/Drama clique because I can do, think, and say anything I want and no one will judge me. They'll just laugh with me and say how they remember Pokemon too. Some even still like it and will watch the movies with me. My friend just gave me Pokemon 2000 (the second Pokemon movie), so I'm going to watch it next time my best friend and my brother are free at the same time so we can have a "Pokemon 2000 party" xD

Even though I'm free now to like whatever I want now in public, I still miss it depseratly when everyone else loved Pokemon as much as I do. Don't get me wrong... I love my life right now and I wouldn't change it in the slightest even if I could, nor would I go back in time to relive those golden years of innocent youth and carefree Pokemon battling (I swear, if I suddenly got three wishes this very second, I would just say "No thanks, I'm perfectly happy how I am right now." and have no regrets at all.) *blissful* ((The only things I'd wish for (because I wouldn't want to selfishly throw away three wishes that other people really need) is things like "I wish everyone was happy" and "I wish there was no poverty" and "I wish there was enough room for people and animals to all live in harmony and peace" but that's beside the point xD))

But its the weekend now and I can practice my Pokemon drawing and watch Pokemon 2000 and have flashbacks to my past. *hugs Lugia*

Happy Friday everyone and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! =D *hugs everyone then bounds away with her Charmander and Bulbasaur (her two favorite pokemon), hugging them happily and dreaming about their shared memories*

I'm the same way! I loved pokemon and now since in highschool and in band can say anything...my friend Penny wasn't scared to show her love of it in middle school though, and all her friends excepted it. Turned out that in middle school the rental movie place was selling vcr movies of pokemon for 1 dollar so I bought as much as I could XD Glad to know someone else is just as loving of the series and movies and will hug Lugia with me! :D

You know the world can be tough, but the world knows that you can be tougher

The greatest struggle is within yourself, if you are strong enough to realize it.

Same here :hugs: Penny is an anime freak too and is really good at drawing...she's just a year older than me!
