I'll See You Again (Mihiel and Alcatraz)

Mihiel was near a river, drinking silently while she heard sounds from the forest. The sound of running water was her favorite since i calmed her the most while the sun was on her back.

This new pack was nice, a different change of pace then being a loner like before. Being in a pack was a little more comfortable, so she liked it more.


Alcatraz stalked through the forest. It was very hot out this afternoon and he was panting from the heat. His dark, thick coat was much more suited for winter. He sniffed for water, but could find none. He was so thirsty...

And then the scent hit him and he veered toward it. And then he came across the Morrow border. He hesitated, but he could hear the river from here... it was just barely in the border. He decided it was worth the risk. He was beginning to feel dizzy from the thirst. He trotted quickly toward it, but as he pushed through the undergrowth and to the river's edge he saw a she-wolf drinking. Morrow. He cursed under his breath, but spoke first so not to startle her. "Er, hello miss. I apologize for intruding. May I have a quick drink before I leave?" he asked, his voice formal and polite but his face expressionless and cold.


Her ears perked to the sound of a voice, looking up quickly. A wolf? Maybe from another pack, or just a loner? who knows? Mihiel looked around to see if he was just alone then made eye contact. "Sure.. go a head." Slowly dipping her head down again and drank some more water.

Alcatraz looked at her wearily and padded forward, watching her for a moment before dipping his own head down. He took many large gulps of water before glancing at the brown and white female on the other side of the river. "Thank you." he murmured.

She glanced at him, tilting her head. "Your welcome. Your probably a loner, right?" It was sorta obvious since he asked her that because if he was from a pack then maybe he would have said that.

He licked the last of the water droplets from his lips as he answered he question. "I am." he said. He was not much of a talker at all. He dipped his head down for another drink. he did not know when he would get to drink again so he wanted to be absolutely gorged.

She smiled lightly, drinking silently. "That must be hard." It was difficult for her, maybe it can be less or more for other wolves as well. Either way it can be hard being alone when hunting, since you need help from others as well.

Alcatraz shrugged. It had its times, he supposed, but with his hunting and fighting prowess he rarely had a problem. "It takes a certain kind of wolf." he answered vaguely as he finished his second drink and paused to catch his breath.

She nodded slowly, looking at the water flowing. Hearing birds flapping it's wings, Mihiel looked at him again. "It does, really." Smiling lightly to show she wasn't any dangerous wolf and that she won't attack.

Alcatraz looked at her carefully. "Were you a loner before you joined Morrow?" he asked as he dipped his head for his third drink.

Mihiel nodded slowly. "Yes. For a while but you can guess i wasn't that type of wolf." Laughing lightly, dipping her head and took a drink silently.

Alcatraz nodded. "Mm." he agreed, lifting his head and letting out a small yawn. he was pretty close to quenched now. "It's not for everyone. I suppose I can see the appeal in pack life." he said, but it certainly was not for him. Not right now anyway. He looked back toward the forest he was headed. he would want to get out of her fur soon now that he had what he came for.

"What's your name?" She asked, since he looked like a nice enough wolf. Maybe not wanting to say that much it be nice to know the name of this wolf, knowing what to call him then.

He looked back at her as she asked his name. "Alcatraz." he said shortly. He tilted his head a bit at the dark brown and white female. "Yours?" he liked to know who he was talking to, so he had a label to remember them by.

"Mihiel." Answering, then licked her lips from the water that was on her muzzle. Smiling a little at him.

Alcatraz dipped his head at her. "Mihiel. I see." Alcatraz said. After a moment's pause, he turned and bounded a few steps toward the Morrow border to be on his way. He stopped and looked over his shoulder at the brown and white she-wolf. "Well, thank you for the water. You are very kind." he said, his voice stoic even if his words were warm.

She nodded slowly, smiling. "Your welcome." Getting on all four she looked at him again.

Aclatraz dipped his head curtly at the Morrow she-wolf and then turned back forward. Alcatraz was never one for sentiment so he headed into the undergrowth without a formal goodbye.

Mihiel quickly added before he left; "I'll see you again!" She wanted to say goodbye, maybe he didn't want to but that was okay for her. Something she learned while being alone is, friends never say goodbye, so she never really said it to anyone.

Alcatraz paused at her voice, looking behind at her again. How did she know that? Perhaps it was her way to say goodbye? Well, she was pleasant enough. He would not be too annoyed if he saw her again. he dipped his head. "Yes... perhaps you will." he said in his rumbling voice before turning back forward, bounding into the undergrowth and out of sight.

Mihiel smiled, turning around and slowly made her way back into the morrow territory. He was a nice enough wolf, maybe he didn't say much but that was probably how he liked it.
